Have a look at the pages on our website for further information about Osteopathy and what we offer, if you can’t find what you’re looking for or have more questions then please don’t hesitate to contact me for a chat or to make an appointment. A key philosophy of osteopathy is the structure and function are reciprocally related, i.e. the state of your joints and muscles will dictate how well your body can function e.g. tight muscles restricting touching your toes; and how you use your body (function) will dictate the state of your joints and muscles e.g. a repetitive movement to one side may result in a rotation in your spine Osteopathy works by finding the cause of the dysfunction in your body, treating the whole person rather than a specific condition. Having said that, there are several complaints that many people find osteopathy particularly helps with.
At Ilminster Osteopathy my goal is to help people achieve their goals whatever they may be, from cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats to putting on your shoes pain free. My philosophy is to help you to function to the best of your ability using a combination of manual techniques including massage, joint manipulation as well as more gentle techniques such as cranial osteopathy.
