Its operations cover three main areas: Main Contracting, Responsive Repairs and Maintenance (for council owned properties and housing associations), and Property Development. The business was formed in 1973 and is still privately owned. Today Jeakins Weir employs 200 people across the business, and has an annual turnover in excess of £23 million. Over the past 41 years Jeakins Weir has built, renovated and extended many hundreds of schools, hospitals, leisure facilities, offices, houses and other public buildings in the region. It currently has long term Responsive Repair contracts with housing associations and councils located in Norfolk, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Bedfordshire, representing nearly 20,000 homes.
We take great pride in the quality of our work, the strength of our relationships, and the positive impact we make on people’s lives. Still family owned and with over 40 years in business, Jeakins Weir has built many of the East Midlands public buildings - from schools and colleges, to hospitals and theatres. We also have a thriving business repairing and maintaining homes for councils and housing associations.
