Our years in practice have enabled us to create an eye-care service that is tailor made for housebound patients and our corporate clients. Our mobile service provides care to housebound residents and corporate clients. We will come out to examine your residents normally within the week and we will travel anywhere for even one patient. We do work very closely with you, your team and the people that you care for. You will always have a Mobile optical care team member you can permanently deal with and a mobile number to use out of hours. We have over a hundred care homes on our books and we are very proud to partner Age Concern and test all their housebound members who require examination.
At Jonathan Kay Opticians we believe that everyone has the fundamental right to sight, and aim to ensure that all those who are entitled to receive an NHS sight test are informed of the fact that they can have a free eye examination in their own home. It is estimated that up to 1,000,000 people in the UK qualify for this service which they currently do not receive. As our aging population increases, the need for our services is likely to grow substantially as 85% of blind and partially sighted people are over 65.
