Here at the Mill Garden Centre, we are proud of our ever increasing range of homegrown stock including, shrubs, Acers, conifers and annuals. Where possible additional stock is sourced from other nurseries in the U.K. which have a similar ethos to our own. When you visit us you can be assured you are buying plants from people who have been growing for generations and are qualified horticulturalists who are more than happy to give help and advice on our plants and their suitability for your garden. Whether you are a beginner, serious gardener, plant collector or would just like an alternative to the 'lifestyle' chains, you are sure to find something to suit.
We aim to offer a selection which we feel is particularly well suited to our micro-climate which is colder and wetter than either Edinburgh or Glasgow being 600 feet above sea level. Consequently, the soil temperatures in this area in winter and early spring tend to be colder and spring frosts are often more severe thus resulting in really hardy plants.
