Mike Middlebrook studied Architecture at Canterbury College of Art. After graduating in 1985 he worked for Owers and Lumley Architects in Cambridge where he quickly gravitated towards interior projects before moving to Kent working for Sherwood Shopfitters, Retail Environments and JR Cabinetmakers as a Principal Design Consultant. Mike then set up Middlebrook Design in 1989 which later became Motive Interiors in 2001 specialising in bespoke commercial and domestic interiors from one single independent source. He lives in Hythe in the beautiful Kent countryside and is married with 3 children.
Motive Interiors provides a design, manufacturing and installation service based on the three Motives of Design, Value and Function. We have produced unique interiors for over 25 years all manufactured in Hythe on the southeast Kent coast.
