NKA Translations is a multi-sector translation, proofreading and editing company, providing language services worldwide. Founded by Nathalie Assayag in 2003 in Barcelona, the company relocated to the UK and set up its headquarters in Brighton in 2011. Nathalie, who was brought up in East Sussex speaking both English and French, studied BA French and Italian, went on to gain a Masters degree in Technical and Specialised Translation, and spent nearly a decade living in Barcelona. Having started as a freelance translator, she quickly grew her business, and started to outsource work to other reliable professionals. Fellow company director, Barnaby Eales, a multilingual journalist from London and former Spain and France correspondent, who trained at Reuters news agency and who has travelled widely on numerous assignments and lived in various countries, joined NKA Translations in 2013, when it became a limited company.
