Welcome to North Yorkshire Building Control Partnership (NYBCP) the first Local Authority Building Control Partnership in the UK. We provide a flexible and modern building control service on behalf of Hambleton, Richmondshire, Ryedale, Scarborough and Selby Councils and have a wealth of experience and knowledge across all types of project and construction techniques, encouraging innovative solutions. In addition to Building Regulations, we undertake work in relation to dangerous structures and demolition notifications across the Partnership area.
We process Building Regulation applications under the provisions of Section 91 and 92 of the Building Act 1984. Building Regulations exist to secure the health, safety, welfare and convenience of people in and about buildings, together with the conservation of fuel and power, and access and facilities for disabled people.
