Established in 1988 by Frances and Russell Peake, and initially set up from home, so strong was Frances passion for travel, that before long she had hung up her farmers wellies for good and opened a travel agency in Shrewsbury. In 2001 Peakes Travel Elite acquired long haul and luxury travel agency, Ron Morgan Travel. Their expertise in arranging bespoke holidays to far flung areas of the world — in particular their knowledge of Australia, New Zealand and Canada — complemented the existing business. This acquisition introduced Frances and Russell to Claire Moore, then Manager of Ron Morgan Travel, who now shares ownership and the running of the company as Russell and Frances enjoy more free time.
