We would work in the present but might also explore links with the past and how these can impact on you emotionally and physically, causing distress and preventing you moving forward. We would look at ways of managing both feelings and thoughts to enable you to have a more fullfilling and creative life. I aim to offer a balance of warmth, support and challenge and the efficacy of this is confirmed in 20 years working full-time as a counsellor. I provide a safe and accepting space to allow reflection and to share difficult thoughts and feelings.
As a counsellor, with many years of practice, I work with a wide range of issues both personal and professional. I work in an integrative way and while my training is predominantly psychodynamic, I also draw on cognitive strategies.
