I base my practice on the belief that everyone has the right to contentment. I offer support, warmth and space to explore what this means to you — safely and without judgement. I have over 20 years experience of working with people which is varied across age, gender, ethnicity and issues. My last paid employment was as a Young Peoples Counsellor for a local Rape Crisis Charity having previously spent some time working for a Domestic Abuse Charity delivering a group work program to Young People displaying violent behaviour across schools and youth offending teams. Since going full-time self employed in Private Practice in 2013 I have been able to expand my client repertoire immensely. I have been fortunate enough to work with services personnel, local business owners, business executives, local artists as well as many new mums to name but a few. Last year I was asked to do some work for SOBS (Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide) and this year I was approached by Meningitis Now to do some work with a client of theirs. I remain an associate Counsellor for both organisations.
It may be that you have no idea what that is but with a little help, care and nurture it is my belief that together we may be able to work it out. Perhaps you just need someone to talk to, someone to share those thoughts and feelings that can often get stuck inside and go round and round. Or it could be that you know what you want from your life but you need space and support from your counsellor to work out how to get there.
