When my husband and I decided that we wanted to convert our loft into an ensuite master bedroom, we didn’t do much research as we had been recommended Smiths of Bromley by a number of people. From the first contact with them we knew we had made the right decision. Initially we were given a start date of March but were very pleasantly surprised when Terry (known as The Boss or Tel) contacted us and said that the team could start in February. So along came the scaffolding which took only 4 hours to put up and the work began. Next Tom and the construction team turned up and erected the shell, added the new roof and installed the staircase within 3 weeks. We have to congratulate that team for the courteous treatment, the tidiness and clearing up of rubbish from day one. We couldn’t fault this team at all, although their singing left a lot to be desired !! (One of my husband’s best memories were the roofers singing along to Titanic) Smiths used Thomas Plasterers and they were all mindful of the dust and put up dust sheets everywhere to prevent most dust from infiltrating every nook and cranny of the house. How they managed to get every single wall as smooth as they did is beyond our comprehension.
