I first discovered this incredible system of medicine 13 years ago when my eldest son had eczema as a baby. I took him to a homeopath because I was concerned about the long term effects of hydrocortisone creams and I didn’t know what else to do. I used the cream sparingly and yes it did work, but the eczema came back a couple of days later. After his first homeopathic remedy, there was an improvement in his eczema and within 2-3 weeks it was just in the folds of his elbows. His stomach was no longer bloated, his skin looked brighter and he was generally more contented. This evoked a huge interest in natural ways of staying healthy. My children have had the usual childhood ailments whilst growing up and they have all been treated with homeopathy. But the bit that had me truly hooked is that Homeopathy treats the whole person. The person’s mental and emotional state is as important as the physical symptoms they are experiencing. This is one of the biggest differences between homeopathy and conventional medicine. Homeopathy aims to restore the person’s health on every level and can be used alongside conventional medicine or alone.
Sussex Homeopathy was established by Mary-Jane Sharratt in 2006 and for ten years has been based at The Perrymount Clinic in Haywards Heath. The business now has two active practitioners; Tara Lavelle and Kathryn Sampson both of whom have many years experience of treating chronic disease, including auto immune conditions, women’s health, candida, conception health and children’s health. They have a truly holistic approach to health.
