The Mariner is well placed for exploring Exmoor, the Brendon and Quantock Hills and is within easy reach of Dunster Castle, Minehead and Cheddar. Longleat, Bath and Wells are all popular places to visit nearby. The famous West Somerset Steam Railway calls at Watchet and is a must see. Watchet is a small, friendly ancient harbour town, on the West Somerset Coast and is a perfect base for sailing, walking, birdwatching, all types of fishing and boat trips.
