Working in private practice takes up the majority of his professional time. He has had experience in osteopathic education, and as part of his ongoing continuous professional development he has obtained a Diploma in Educational Technology from Jordanhill College, Glasgow. The psychosocial influence on health and its clinical application are of current personal interest. Further professional interests are diagnostic techniques, the treatment of common illnesses using nutrition and exercise, as well as the clinical uses of acupuncture for musculoskeletal pain.
Donald Scott is a statutory registered osteopath and naturopath, registered by both the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and the General Council and Register of Naturopaths (GCRN) . He graduated in both Naturopathy and Osteopathy in 1981 and currently practices at The Natural Therapy Centre, 81 East Clyde Street, Helensburgh, Dunbartonshire.
