The Village Optician is a family run local independent optician. Founded in 2003 by Optometrist brothers Michael and Stephen Peart, The Village Optician has grown from one practice in Cobblers Hall, Newton Aycliffe to four Opticians practices in Durham and Darlington. We also provide a home visiting service, Opticians To You, which covers the whole of County Durham and Tyne and Wear. To help look after your eyes all of our standard glasses lenses are reflection free with enhanced UV protection and our elite lenses are also guaranteed against scratches. Our experienced frame and lens experts will help you choose new glasses that are right for you. We guarantee you honest advice and opinion on your new glasses from all of our staff. Come and see for yourself why The Village Optician has become such a trusted part of each of the communities our practices serve.

Your sight is important to you, so why not join over 16,000 other people in County Durham and trust The Village Optician to look after your eyes. Not only are we fully qualified Optometrists offering you a relaxed and thorough eye test, we are also Varilux Lens Specialist Opticians. This means that we are also experts in the most up to date lens technology available — often not available at other Opticians.
