Even if you know pretty much what you want it’s not just a matter of producing drawings to get the right permissions and to build from. It’s a process of working together to produce a scheme that’s right for you and fits many criteria that you may or may not have considered. In short, I aim to bring your dreams into practical reality. Planning ahead in detail has many other advantages of course, like giving builders enough information to produce reliable quotes and to keep full control of the building process. My projects have ranged from contemporary to traditional, whether it be extensions, conversions, refurbishments, alterations (to listed or non-listed buildings) or complete new builds. I have a particular interest in energy efficiency; not just high insulation levels and the addition of ‘alternative energy’ inputs, but the careful design of building form and fabric to utilize the heat from the sun.
