Purchase our fresh every day fish and chips and amble to the water's edge, we are 100m from the bay of Lake Windermere. All food is cooked on site, sustainably sourced fish, British potatoes peeled, cut and fried all day everyday. We work hard to ensure our produce, cooking and service is to the highest standard. We aim to encompass dietary requirements with our vegetarian menu, halal chicken dishes and burger, sauces and sides. Vinegar Jones only uses the freshest free range cod and haddock, which is caught in line with the fish quota to ensure sustainability. This is delivered daily from suppliers of Morecambe and Fleetwood. The fish is skinned and filleted, coated with Paul's secret recipe batter and fried to perfection. Vinegar Jones is almost an institution in Bowness-on-Windermere, much loved by locals and visitors alike. Commanding pride of place in Royal Square, the newley refurbished shop has undergone a complete face-lift to accommodate and make our customers feel even more welcome.
