Electric bikes are many things to many people. Some want to extend a commute or arrive less hot and bothered, and others are after a helping hand on the hills, when transporting children, or to keep up with fitter riding companions. Whilst some just like the fun factor.

Cycling is my passion: when I'm not riding, I'm probably watching bike racing on TV or at an organised event. If not, I'm probably fettling with a bike, stripping it down and rebuilding it, riding on the rollers in the garge or surfing the internet to find the latest upgrade or repair for that persistent problem.

Geared Up Cycles was established in 2010 by Steve Groombridge. Having worked on and with bikes at various shops since leaving school, he was keen to deliver speedy and convenient servicing to the local cycling community. Initially starting out as a mobile set up, he soon realised that warm hands were a benefit for those fiddly gear adjusts, and in December 2013 opened the doors of our Ash Vale shop.

Pedal On is not just a website, we are one of the country's largest bike shops too. Our aim is to be the country's leading supplier of bikes, accessories, parts and apparel for cross country riding, trail riding, sports road riding and leisure riding. We are authorised dealers for Giant, Scott, Cannondale, Liv and Trek. We have over 250 bikes on display on our shop floor.
