TBS Boats Bray was founded in 1992 by Dominic Smulders, starting out selling smaller used boats at Bray Marina in Berkshire. TBS Boats Bray has grown to one of the most successful brokerage operations in the South East selling in excess of 120 used boats a year from a £5k starter boat to £500k coastal cruisers.

Within the safe, secure and tranquil setting of the boatyard millpool moorings, are possibly the largest number of classic wooden launches in any one place on the Thames. Slipper launches sit alongside electric canoes, steam launches, classic cabin cruisers and elegant day launches.

The boatyard was purchased by John Henry Bushnell from Henry Butcher on the 31st December 1917. The boatyard had been in existence prior to that date and it is believed that Henry Butcher had, in fact, been the proprietor since the middle of the 19th century.
