Station Garage was established in 1918 by Mr Arthur Green on part of the Farncombe House site, which had previously, in fact since the 1850's, been a school house. The decision has been made for two reasons firstly our landlord needs to use the site for his own business, which is fair enough, secondly due to the poor build quality and reliability issues with modern cars, they are now more expensive to fix than a profit margin allows, so if you treat customers fairly you can't survive in the motor trade, unless you are selling nearly new cars with manufacturers warranty still valid, the problem with this is that customers don't want to pay for a nearly new car, they all want the cheapest one, which is never the best one.

A simple theory of, "Provide each customer with a good courteous service, value for money and a keen after-sales service" we find is an excellent formula for a successful business.
