Trevor Oakey began training as mechanic in the late 60s. He met his wife Mary in 1972 who was working and studying accounting and economics at Witney College. He set up on his own as a mobile mechanic in 1977. In 1984 he and Mary built the workshop and established ‘Oakey Vehicle Repairs’. In 2001 the business was registered as a limited company and became Oakey Automotive Services Ltd.

The garage was founded in 1867 by a great man. We can say he was great because the automobile hadn't even been invented by then. The business started off slowly but over time it grew and grew until every car in the world could claim that at one time it had been worked on by at least one person at the company.

Roger and Andy are Fairview Garage. Roger Griffin started as an apprentice at Haines & Strange when he was 16 years old and went to join JohnTrainer Car Sales of Cheltenham as the Senior Mechanic in 1977.
