The club was founded some time before we affiliated to the ACU in February 1928. The club has been involved in all branches of motorcycle sport. Back in the 1930s, a Sidcup member spotted a grass valley at West Kingsdown and suggested to the Sidcup Club Committee that we ask the landowner if the club could run a grass track there. He agreed, and for many years Sidcup, then other local clubs held Centre and National grass tracks which attracted hundreds of spectators.
