Erskine Golf Club in Bishopton Renfrewshire, near Glasgow, is arguably one of the finest golf courses in the West of Scotland designed by Troon Professional Willie Fernie, James Braid and Dr. Alister MacKenzie. This golf course simply has to be played to be appreciated. The Club was established in 1904 and caters for all, from the individual to groups and societies. Erskine Golf Club hosted the Scottish Professional Championship in 1991 and also The Scottish Youths Championship in 2007.

So you’ve decided to take up golf? Great decision! However, you soon realize that the sport involves a lot of rules and equipment that you’re meeting for the first time, and you feel overwhelmed. Do not worry as this is a common occurrence with almost all newcomers to this sport.

The Greenock Golf Club was founded in 1890 and is located in a commanding position high above the town. In 1924 that busiest of all Golf Course Architects, former open champion James Braid was invited to advise on reconstruction.

Less than 30 minute drive from Glasgow city centre and 7 miles west of Glasgow Airport, Ranfurly Castle is easily accessible sitting on the edge of Bridge of Weir village. However, once you have played your approach to the second green and looked back over the Clyde valley, it’s the last you will see of Glasgow other than fleeting glimpses, for the next couple of hours as you enter the Renfrewshire countryside and enjoy one of the best moorland courses in Scotland.

The Club was founded in September 1894 and a 9-hole course constructed after a meeting of businessmen from Renfrew and Govan on land leased from Spears of Elderslie Estate. In 1920 James Braid was the Architect who extended the course to 18 holes when the Clubhouse opened on the 20th May 1925. The extended course was the longest in the West of Scotland with a Par of 73.

We are a parkland golf course located in the north of Glasgow (just five miles from Glasgow City Centre) in the suburb of Bearsden. Douglas Park Golf Club is a welcoming, forward-thinking, modern golf club.

Cochrane Castle Golf Club located in the town of Johnstone, Strathclyde is a mature parkland 18-hole course of length 6194 yards (5664m). The course was designed by Charlie Hunter and was established in 1895. Set within the Craigston area of Cochrane Castle the elevated views from the course provide scenic aspects towards Ben Lomond to the North, the Campsies to the East.
