Gracelands Traad Ponds is situated on the West coast of Lough Neagh just outside Ballyronan and is surrounded by a conservation area teeming with wildlife.
In 1927 two business men founded Ponteland Golf Club. They bought just enough land to build a 9 hole course which served the local community for 4 years. In 1931 more land was bought and another 9 holes added to create a full 18 hole course. At that time, the Club house was just a wooden hut. In 1937 a permanent Club house was built which today still stands proudly overlooking the final hole and 1st tee.
Our outstanding championship course is arguably one of the finest in east central Scotland. Designed by James Braid the course is enjoyable and accessible for all standard of golfer. Over the years the course has hosted many amateur championships and on two occasions the Scottish Professional Championship.
