Generic warm ups are great for preparing for the specifics of the training session to come. And they’re a great ‘catch all’ for group sessions. But, there’s a load of value being missed if you don’t take the opportunity to address some of your own personal issues.

I first met my Sifu, Jens Thinnesen, in circumstances totally unrelated to the study of martial arts or Qigong but in talking to him I saw an opportunity to learn these wonderful skills. Although I have always had an interest in martial arts, it was one of those things that I just never got around to doing as a result of mounting work pressures and other pressures that are inherent with modern society.
