Wishaw Aikikai is a member of the Scottish and Borders Birankai under the technical direction of T.K Chiba Shihan. The Chief Instructor, Stephen Boyle, studied directly under George Girvan Sensei ( starting in 1989) as well as T.K Chiba, and has achieved a rank of 6th Dan, Shidoin (literally meaning, senior teacher).

Cobra Martial Arts Scotland is a Community Sports Club based in Airdrie and Livingston founded in 1996. We offer Instructor led classes in Free Style Karate & Kick boxing, 6 days a week at our dedicated Dojo in Alexander Street, Airdrie and Mosswood Community Centre, Livingston.

Coatbridge Taekwon-Do has been successfully teaching valuable life skills and self defence to all ages in Lanarkshire for over 30 years. Taekwondo enhances self-esteem by heightening your physical and mental powers, builds confidence by encouraging you to succeed and to take control of your life, and develops discipline by thoroughly training your body and mind.

Uddingston Tae Kwon-do opened it's doors on Feburary 25th 2008 by Miss Kirsty Izat, 4th Degree Black Belt. From the first night, starting with only a few children, the club has now grown to over 100 members ranging from ages of 4 all the way to adults.

We have clubs all over cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire and Glasgow. Clubs in; Westfield, Glenboig, Abronhill, Kilsyth and Holyrood. We practice WTF (World Taekwondo) which is a full Olympic sport and may have seen at the Olympic Games.

Chief Instructor Jim Ross 6th Dan started Karate in May 1975 at the John Wrights Sport Centre in East Kilbride, with the Scottish Budokan which was run by former Scottish Karate Coach Alex McGregor. During this period Jim attained the grade of 1st Kyu but had to take some time out from his training due to ill health.

Shoshin Karate Centres was established in 2009 by Instructor Sensei Richard Steen, a full-time qualified instructor with forty years’ experience in the Martial Arts and a registered instructor with the Japan Karate Shoto Federation Scotland and the Scottish Karate Governing Body.
