I've grown up with a passion for dogs. Ever since I could walk, my love and curiosity have led me to learn a lot about different breeds, their history and characteristics, as well as understanding our dog's behaviours and their way of thinking. I trained in 2006 at the Scotgroom Training School in Carluke and then went on to work as a groomer at Wizard of Paws Canine Care Centre in Glasgow. Here, over a 4 year period, I enhanced my grooming skills and worked my way up to become the Head Groomer.

Hey! Thanks for visiting my website. My name is Jamie Shanks, and I’ve been a pro dog walker since 2010. I’m walking dogs at the beach everyday underneath the Erskine bridge along with other Erskine dog walkers, and if you walk your dog there too then you’ll no doubt have seen me, most likely we’ve met and had a chat. Anyway, let me tell you a bit about my biz and how it started.

Absolute Dogs is a relaxed dog haven which will be enjoyed by dog lovers and their pets. We are located in Paisley, 2 minutes from Glasgow Airport and the St James’s roundabout and walking distance from the central station. There is ample parking at the entrance to Absolute Dogs.

Lomond Home and Pet Care (LHPC) was established in 1999 by Ian, a retired Police Officer and his wife Margaret. The business is now a partnership with husband and wife team Danny & Cathy. Several helpers, who have considerable and varied experience in the care of pets, also assist in the provision of our services.
