For as long as I can remember I’ve always preferred looking at the pictures to reading the words so I’m lucky enough to have been working as a creative for the past ten years. My first experience with photography was looking at family photographs when I was very young. I remember my cousins having some brightly coloured photograph albums which contained pictures from their holidays and adventures and I was captivated by them. The way that you could re-live a moment just by looking at an image.

I'm Rob Wheal, ABIPP ARPS. I've been a full time photographer for 10 years or more, and work across a number of disciplines including weddings, family portraits, corporate portraits, and product photography.

Since moving to Horsleys Green I have taken the opportunity for focus my work on the areas of photography that I enjoy the most - Portraiture - Headshots and children between the ages of two to eleven and a newly developed interest in food and retail/hospitality commercial photography.

I love being part of the celebrations, discreetly capturing all the events, reactions, impromptu moments and recording family pictures that will adorn the family walls and mantle-pieces and become part of your family history. My style is a mixture of both natural and posed shots. I include a disc of images with all my packages, because I feel it would be a real shame to document this special day and not have you keep every significant piece of it.

I am a professional photographer based in Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire and covering the whole Thames Valley area. I love to take natural authentic photographs of people. My work includes weddings, pre-wedding shoots, families, babies and children of all ages. I do bespoke shoots such as business profiles, private events and styled product shoots.

I’m known for my eye popping colourful images and my dramatic use of light, particularly in my signature night time wedding photographs. At the same time, I keep my rates reasonable to ensure I stay busy in the job I love.
