Michael Chevis specialises in Weddings, Commercial, Fine Art and Sport, with a particular interest in Polo. He holds an archive of photographs from the area dating back to the 1950's, some of which have been brought together in his new book, "The Royals at Polo".

I am a contemporary and very passionate lifestyle photographer based in Petersfield, Hampshire. I photograph families, weddings, celebrations, events and everything else you can think of. My style is laid back and minimalist, focusing on unique connections between people, nature, objects and their surroundings.

It takes skill, creativity and patience to translate the sophistication of architecture into understandable images, explaining and extolling the character, detail and environment of a building. I also provide professional re-touching and post-production as part of each commission.

My relationship with photography started around 15 years ago, with the purchase of a ‘proper camera’ and an evening class to tell me what all the buttons did. I quickly realised that someone with no painting or drawing ability had found a medium with which he could be creative.

When it comes to your wedding day you will have the best day ever. It is true to say that you might have moments when a strange calm comes over you or you worry about something really silly. You might not even have time to eat, and all this happens when your being given so much attention!
