Big Roast have a rich history of satisfied customers dating back to 2006, catering to a wide variety of events with hog and spit roasts options including delicious pork roast loins, succulent whole hog roasts and stunning lamb roasts.

Jean-Luc Sainlo set up bespoke catering company Sainlo Events following a long career working in France and the UK with the likes of Philippe Chavent, Gordon Ramsay and Jean-Christophe Novelli. Jean-Luc has also headed up brigades in a number of top London clubs and restaurants, cooking for city executives, The BBC and the Digital Podge.

Years of experience and passion for different cuisines, instructiveness over selecting the proper menu items, steady team of professional chefs, waiting/bar staff and events organiser that love their work and most of all very reasonable flexible prices.

The business has grown from the days of Tante Marie trained Jackie cooking alone in her South West London kitchen, to a small, hardworking team in professional kitchens in the heart of Battersea. However, the ethos of cooking delicious, modern food from scratch firmly remains. As we have remained a small business you can always guarantee that you will have one point of contact and the surety that the entire team knows about each event.

After 21 years of catering under the banner Sarah and Nicholas Roberts Catering” and carrying on the tradition of fine home cooked food with a personal service, we have decided to change our name to Menus and Venues.

I am now celebrating over 30 years as a caterer, this has been a very rewarding period of my life, giving me great satisfaction knowing every event is special. I generally bespoke every menu, often producing recipes personally for my clients. I am the main influence of all my catering events and will be seen back of house in my apron! I am supported by my husband Jon and daughters, who all have their own roles within the business. My daughters work closely with me and have become a very important part of the business taking the next generation to a different level.
