Since working in the private sector Amanda has expanded her expertise in treatment using acupuncture, in order to further her knowledge she has completed a post graduate diploma to enhance her proficiency in this area.

Mir Ali and Lisa Harmer are members of The British Acupuncture Council and are the founders of Oriental Health Treatments, which was established in 2001. They offer treatments in Acupuncture and Massage/Bodywork. Based in Flitwick, Bedfordshire, they are within easy reach of; Ampthill, Bedford, Clophill, Silsoe, Luton, Milton Keynes, Toddington and surrounding villages.

I am graduate of the Collage of Integrated Chinese medicine in Reading, gaining a BSc (Hons) degree in Acupuncture, and receiving a Licentiate in Acupuncture, after a 4 year course in both Traditional Chinese medicine, which initially concentrates on signs and symptoms, and 5 Element Chinese medicine, which approaches healing from the emotional and spiritual aspect.

We have four clinics based in Newport Pagnell, Bletchley, Central Milton Keynes and Bedford. Onsite facilities include a fully equipped gym, Clean and comfortable treatment rooms, changing facilities and a wide range of equipment allowing us to offer diverse treatment options.

I am an NHS GP and have treated many patients using acupuncture. Many of my patients have tried the traditional medical route first and have not had the desired effect with prescription or over-the-counter drugs. After acupuncture many report significant benefits, sometimes after the first session alone and sometimes with pain that has been troubling them for many years.
