Thakeham Furniture is a small, family business, established by Tim and Belinda Chavasse in 1987. Tim and Belinda met at college, whilst studying to become antique furniture restorers - Tim coming from Agricultural College, and brought up with antiques, and Belinda with a degree in Art History. Our colleague Anthony Tester, a highly skilled restorer, has been with us from the start.

For the past 11 years we have been importing ethically-sourced, eco-friendly furniture & homeware direct from Indonesia. All of our quality outdoor teak products come from ecologically sustainable plantations with government certificates.

Many of our clients get in touch through personal recommendation often with a unique set of requirements. Whether it is a one off piece such as a coffee table or a complete room set with matching pieces as designer-makers of beautiful purpose made furniture we are able to offer a truly personel service.
