Born in 1974 Henry Swanzy began a comprehensive traditional cabinet-makers training in 1996. Designing and making were already well-established passions from workshops both at home and at school. After more than a decade dedicated to bespoke designing and making Henry took a Masters in Design at Falmouth University.

We pride ourselves in bringing you exclusive, hand-knotted oriental rugs, from the major carpet weaving areas of the world. The majority of our rugs are imported directly from their country of origin. Every rug is personally selected by ourselves from a vast assortment spanning many sources. This results in an eclectic collection you will simply never see elsewhere in the UK.

Furniture World is a family run business, which started trading in 1984 in Redruth. From these beginnings, the company has expanded throughout Cornwall and into Devon. We are now one of the leading independent furniture retailer’s in the South West with six stores across Devon and Cornwall.
