Glenray Jewellers started its life as Glenray Watches in 1967. Our first shop, and today’s flagship store, was opened in Letchworth in 1967 by Raymond, his wife, Glenda, and his parents Dave and Hilda. Raymond originally trained as a watchmaker at Asprey’s and was just in his early twenties when he founded Glenray. All members of the family took an active role in the day-to-day operations of the shop, and business flourished.

Independent and family run, Godshaws was established as your Hertfordshire Jewellers in 1947 by Mr Freddy Godshaw and is now in the hands of his son Mr Steve Godshaw. Since 1947 Father and son have created a warm, welcoming family business that provides the highest customer care and service.

Opening a retail boutique showroom in 2011 in the quaint Hertfordshire town of Harpenden, we have been able to provide custom-created Engagement, Wedding & Eternity Rings, Certified Diamonds & Precious Gem-Stones, Bracelets, Earrings, Pendants & Luxury Designer Watches direct to our customers.

I don’t only have my own designs in the collections, lots of other talented artisans’ work from all over the world can be seen, too. All jewellery is made of sterling silver and precious gems but this year I have also enjoyed working with brass and other materials ─ lots of new ideas queuing up, I will post about those soon.

All of my jewellery is designed and handmade by me in my workshop in Hertford. 85% of all the sterling silver I use comes from recycled sources. Additionally, having visited gem dealers around the world I ensure my stones are ethically sources.

Garnier the Jewellers, located in Hoddesdon, specialises in the sale of beautifully-crafted jewellery and accessories. Customers in Harlow, Hertford, Ware and all surrounding Hertfordshire areas visit our traditional jewellery shop to view our charming wedding and engagement rings, necklaces and earrings.

Founded over 50 years ago, Wrights developed from its clock making and watch repair origins into a destination shop for the local community that showcases beautiful gold, silver and platinum jewellery. The large, well-equipped workshop allows for many repairs, commissions and overhauls to be completed on-site and our craftsmen are often available to advise and discuss your requirements with you.
