We first began selling shoes as a family business three generations ago. The first shop was in Cosham and opened in 1910. In 1977 we opened a Second shop in Kingston Road, Portsmouth.

At Isle of Wight Feet, we are qualified surgical chiropodists and surgical shoe makers. We offer a wide range of foot services to suit all individual needs. From chiropody and podiatry to bespoke orthotics, we tend to people of all ages.

Welcome to W. J. French & Son, the oldest and largest independent shoe shop in Hampshire. W J French & Son is an independent, family run business, which has been trading in Southampton since 1803 and is now in the hands of the eighth generation of the French family. We sell Ladies, men's and children's shoes and have an onsite shoe repair workshop.
