We work within a very strong tradition of excellent early education and care, based on children learning through play and talk. We put the children’s needs at the heart of what we do. We are continually developing and what we offer is in response to changing needs without compromising on our ethos.

Each nursery endeavours to provide children with a wide range of exciting and educational activities to stimulate each child's individual imagination, sense of creativity and thirst for knowledge. All children are treated equally with respect, attention and all the praise and encouragement they require to play and learn at their own pace.

Dr. Maria Montessori was a remarkable woman of her time. As the first female doctor of medicine in Italy, and through her interest in paediatrics, psychiatry and educational theory, she proposed her own philosophy of child development.

The previous owner founded the nursery in 1995 and the premises were adapted to provide a homely environment, of which we are proud to be able to continue since 2008. We offer full day care for babies and children between 4 months and 5 years. For children aged 2-5 years, a full and appropriate pre-school education is included.

Contented Childcare was originally founded in 2010 by Aimee Downing a Chiltern Trained childcare professional who created a childcare placement agency based in Oxfordshire. Due to her own personal life transformation in 2017 Aimee had new fresh ideas for Contented Childcare and has embarked on a new exciting journey of expanding the business with a good friend Alison Oliver the co-founder of From Maternity and Beyond. Aimee has set up other ventures such as her Blog Inspirational Girl Next Door and Healthy Mind Healthy Body.

We would like to tell you a little about who we are, what we are like, and what is going on at the moment. Paddocks is a long-established Pre-school, a stone's throw from St. Johns Primary School, near the centre of Wallingford. We're a charity run by a committee, which most often made up of parents of current Paddocks children.

I am an Ofsted registered Outstanding childminder in Bure Park, Bicester, Oxfordshire and I cater for school runs to Bure Park Primary School and Bubbles Pre-school on the nearby Southwold estate. I have been childminding since 2001. Before becoming a childminder I was a SNCO Statistical Analyst in the Royal Air Force for 17 years.
