A warm welcome to Whitstable Childcare and Babysitting Service. I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder and have been Childminding since 2004. In my last Ofsted inspection received my second Outstanding Grade in November 2015.

The Day Nursery is for children of 3 months to 5 years. It comprises of Ducklings for babies, Caterpillars for toddlers and under three’s and Butterflies for the pre-school children. The Ladybird room is open from 9.00 until 12.00 Monday to Friday during school term times only; this will provide families entitled to the government two, three and four year old funded children.

Following the Early Years Foundation Stage 2017, we provide a wide range of activities that encourage the development of social, physical, language and intellectual skills, helping your child to become confident and independant. More importantly, though, we plan our days around the children's interests and ensure there are lots of cuddles, fun and laughter throughout the day.

First Steps Nursery was established in 1994 and is a family run business with your child at it’s heart, we are committed to providing an enabling stimulating environment where all parents and children feel valued as part of the nursery community.

My name is Claire, and I am an OFSTED registered childminder (Registered since 2012) based in Broadstairs, Thanet. Previously to this, I worked as a nanny for 6 years, and before this, I worked in a nursery. I have a BTEC National Diploma In Early Years — Level 3 and hold a Paediatric First Aid Certificate which is valid until May 2019.
