Wiggles dance studios has been based in Aviation way Southend for the past 16 years and has become one of the most successful schools of its kind in the UK. We teach all age groups from 2½ to adults in all styles including street, break-dance, Lockin', Popping, Hip-Hop, House, jazz, ballet and ballroom. The dance world is moving at a very fast pace, we train in every new style, while at the same time working on foundation and technique.

Miss Hazel Ann Ellesse founded Talents Theatre School in 1973. She now runs the school with her daughter Miss Sharna Lawrence, and their fully qualified and enthusiastic staff.

Stagestruck Academy offer first class training to young people, in all aspects of the Performing Arts, offering ISTD, LAMDA, IDTA & Acrobatic Art yearly examinations plus numerous opportunities to take part in performances locally, overseas and in the West End.

Sitara is a professional instructor, choreographer and performer based in Essex who has been teaching and performing belly dance since 2002. She was born to Hungarian parents and is fluent in Hungarian. She has been invited to dance at many top London Venues such as The Millennium Hotel, Planet Egypt, London University, Oxford University in front of the Turkish Ambassador, and for Friends of The Petrie Museum to name but a few. She has toured with the famous belly dance break beat band Oojami and has also been featured in a BBC Period drama.

Established in 1997 the main focus of our school has always been on having FUN and for the students to build Confidence and develop their performing skills in a positive, energetic and friendly environment.

Pole fitness is suitable for women of all ages, shapes and sizes as not only is it a great way to keep fit, build strength and increase muscle tone, but it also improves confidence levels and of course is great FUN! Regardless of age, flexibility or level of experience, with the appropriate guidance pole fitness can be learned by just about anyone!

Kreate is a vibrant and enthusiastic company offering inspirational Performing Arts classes for young people in Essex. Our school specializes in ISTD syllabus work and is proud to put on a show at least once a year! Our top team of highly qualified teachers provide excellent vocational dance and is passionate about encouraging each student to realize their potential.

The Colne Bank School of Dancing was founded by Mavis Cooke in Elmstead during the early 1970’s. Now based in Wivenhoe, with classes held in Brightlingsea too, it has more than 200 students. Most of pupils dance for fun, but several have forged successful dance careers - both as performers and teachers.

At Colchester Dance School it is our aim to teach quality Ballroom and Latin American dancing to all — from complete beginners to advanced dancers. We offer this tuition as either group classes or one to one private lessons.

The Chelmsford Dance Centre was set up by Phil Meacham in 1991, with an emphasis on being accessible to all social and economic groups, using new and sometimes revolutionary ideas of presentation, and incorporating a high level of technical excellence.
