The pool is open 7 days a week and is in almost constant use everyday for public swimming, swimming lessons for all ages, Swimfit and fun swims. In addition to public access many local schools use the pool plus several local clubs including the historic Tyldesley Swimming & Water Polo Club who also play water polo matches at the Pelican Centre.
