Knowing that residents of Rayleigh were crying out for their own pool, Tracy Ward decided to convert a disused farm building at Lubards Farm, Rayleigh, into an unique purpose built indoor swimming centre of excellence. Swimming Tales opened its doors in March 2005, offering a unique facility, which is friendly, welcoming and very clean, with top class swimming teachers.

First Strokes Swim Schools are the UK leaders in providing the total swimming experience. From our purpose built facilities and expert water-based tuition to our innovative award systems, our swimming pools provide the perfect conditions to learn to swim in a fun, informative and enjoyable way.

We are based in the grounds of West Leigh School in Leigh on Sea, Essex with a large indoor air heated swimming pool. The swimming pool is managed by a fully qualified swim instructor and has a team of 9 qualified staff to teach all aspects of our water based activities.

Specialists in stroke technique ,using the latest underwater filming technology to analyse your strokes in detail . We will make significant improvements to your swimming strokes regardless of your current ability . We work with elite athletes through to complete novices and teach all 4 swimming strokes, not just freestyle.

At The Aqua Academy we pride ourselves on the quality of our swimming lessons, all of which are delivered by Swim England qualified teachers. By keeping our class sizes to a maximum of 8 pupils we ensure that our swimming instructors have the time to focus on the individual swimmers needs, while ensuring that our pupils also have fun by learning and developing with their peers.

We are a small family run swim school specialising in swimming lessons for children, teens and adults with additional needs that may find regular swimming lessons hard to attend for whatever reason, we can help you learn this vital life skill
