Wessex College was established and continues to be run by Child Care practitioners offering homes to children and young people who have experienced trauma in their early years. Managing the challenges of daily life can require high levels of support, understanding and therapeutic intervention. A late Georgian Grade 1 Listed building, it’s also a hidden gem in the World Heritage City of Bath. Thirty two handsome terraced houses, three apartments and a central chapel are set along three sides of a lawned quadrangle in spacious grounds with scenic views across the Avon Valley.

I especially enjoyed working on a variety of projects as it was satisfying to see the results, for example, designing a newsletter or creating a presentation. The instructions were easy to follow. Tutors provided additional explanations if it was necessary.
