Here's why. At the start of a new relationship things generally go well of course, but inevitably over time things happen and your circumstances change. For example, you have a child, then another, you move house or change jobs. Some changes are welcome and planned for. Others aren't, such as illness, redundancy, ageing. But whether the change is one you want or one you don't, dealing with it can put strain on your relationship while you adjust to your new situation.
