Britannia Guest House

Pauline Mitchell welcomes you to the Britannia Guest House, which has been established for 20 years with the same ownership and has acquired a substantial reputation for its high standards of cleanliness and personal service. Britannia obtained its name as Pauline's husband had served nine of his twenty two years in the Royal Navy on board Her Majesty's Royal Yacht Britannia, now exhibited in Edinburgh, Scotland. The 1885 Victorian house is grand in style and boasts some fantastic original features, including high ceilings with deep ornate cornices and the original, traditionally tiled floors. We offer our guests large bright spacious rooms that are decorated and furnished to a high standard (See photographs). Breakfast is served from 7am to 9am in our traditionally styles dining room, furnished with some victorian antiques and interesting curios and artwork. French doors lead to the heart of the house, "The Kitchen" where your english breakfast is cooked to order by your resident proprietor, Pauline.

The Britannia Guest House has seven bedrooms, four are ensuite, and offers excellent flexibility for small family groups. There is one single room with adjacent bathroom that can be combined with a family or remain separate for single occupancy.
