Although most yacht and boat marine surveys are carried out on the South Coast of England surveying frequently in Hamble, Southampton, Lymington, Portsmouth, Chichester, Gosport, Poole, Brighton and the Isle of Wight, Jim Pritchard also often flies to the Mediterranean and other overseas destinations. Jim Pritchard is authorised to carry out MCA Code of Practice surveys for the certification of charter and other commercial vessels. He also provides advice with regard to the European Union Recreational Craft Directive, whose application is required when privately selling a yacht that has been imported from outside the EU. Jim Pritchard carries out Tonnage Measurement Surveys that are required when registering a yacht.
