Brit Spirit is a martial arts club with a difference. We firmly believe that Martial Arts should be accessible for everyone. Young or old, we welcome absolute beginners and advanced students of all ages and abilities. While we have trained some very successful champion athletes, we don't believe Martial Arts should be limited to the young and super fit. We make our classes accessible for all, including members with special needs who we always try to accommodate in our mainstream classes.

The Plymouth Karate Academy was founded in 1999 by Sensei Stuart Hick and has gone from strength to strength, training a wide range of members of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Many people consider starting a martial art, but give up on the idea because they feel they are too young, too old, or not fit enough. But nothing could be further from the truth.

Established in 1987, Ivybridge's Tsutahashi Shotokan Karate Club is a welcoming and friendly club, widely recognised for its excellent standards and high-achieving students both in terms of grades and competitive success.

We run specialised classes for 4-7 year olds — Little Dragons — as well as Taekwon-do classes for all ages from 7 years and above! Whether you are looking to improve your fitness, self-esteem, confidence, self-defence, or simply want to have fun, we are the club for you!
