Welcome to Chinn Herbs and Acupuncture. We have been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Bradford since 2008. TCM is an ancient holistic healing system that has been developed over thousands of years. The most commonly used TCM treatment methods involve Acupuncture or Chinese Herbal Medicine. We practice both of them.

Acupuncture is an ancient system of medicine which has been used for over 3000 years. Traditional Chinese Medicine is a safe, gentle and reliable system which restores your body’s natural energy flow and balance. Acupuncture encourages the body to heal itself, it treats the whole person and any underlying conditions, not just the presenting symptoms. The World Health Organisation and NICE (National Institute of Clinic Excellence) in the UK recommend acupuncture for a wide range of conditions.

I studied Complementary Therapies at White Rose College, Huddersfield for three years and Poppy Therapies was born in 2005. Since then I have practiced from home in a private treatment room which is separate from the house. I genuinely love what I do and my aim is to provide the best possible treatment for you as an individual, in a calm and relaxing space.

I am Nina Victoria Gallagher, the Founder and Managing Director of Fixby Osteo based in the beautiful, tranquil surroundings of Fixby Park, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, UK. FixbyOsteo was founded in 1994 and over the last twenty plus years, has established a reputation for professional excellence in Osteopathic and Naturopathic Healthcare and life coaching, as well as more recently, our results driven, evidence based skincare programmes and in-clinic facials.

I came to complementary therapies in my late 20s and I can honestly say it changed my life. I had been seriously ill in my late teens with hepatitis, which had followed immediately after a bout of glandular fever. This double whammy wiped out my immune system and for many years after I suffered poor health fighting one bug and virus after another.
