Massage for Mum provides pregnancy and post natal massage treatments by a fully qualified therapist. A thorough consultation will be carried out to discuss any specific conditions you may have and to ensure you receive the most relaxing, appropriate treatment for you and your baby.

I studied Sports Massage with Anatomy and Physiology, going on to study sports injuries. Since then I have gained lots of experience as a sports therapist, and it is with this experience that I feel I have learnt the most.

For the last 16 years I have been developing a wide knowledge base with professional training in somatic based therapy, acupuncture and biomechanical assessment. I have worked in the NHS, a national cancer charity as well as private practice in London and Northamptonshire. I hold a BSc from the University of Westminster.

Massage is a systematic manual application of pressure and movement to the soft tissue of the body, the skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia (the membrane surrounding muscles and muscle groups). It encourages healing by promoting the flow of blood and lymph, relieving tension, stimulating nerves, and stretching and loosening muscles and connective tissue to keep them elastic.
