Osteopathy recognises the importance of the link between the structure of the human body and the way it functions. Osteopaths focus on the musculoskeletal system, (better known as your body’s skeleton) and joint functions along with the underlying muscles, soft tissue and internal organs. To an osteopath, for your body to work well, its structure must also work well. So osteopaths work to restore your body to a state of balance, where possible without the use of drugs or surgery.

Philip Hull graduated with an Honours degree from The European School Of Osteopathy in 1999. From here he traveled to New Zealand and worked there for 2 years before returning and setting up clinic in the UK. For the last 5 years Phil has been mainly working from Frome where he lives with his wife and 3 children.

I graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 1988 after a corporate career in large companies as diverse as Rolls-Royce Aero Engines in Derby and Rank Xerox in London, working in areas of computing, finance and acquisitions.

Located in the countryside near to Bath, Chippenham, Bradford on Avon and Trowbridge, the Monkton Farleigh Osteopathic Practice offers tranquil surroundings for treatment and rehabilitation.

Osteopaths are used to dealing with patients in pain — whether it occurs in babies through the mechanical strain of birth, the young through sports or work related injuries; caused by weight and postural changes in pregnancy or in an older patient with arthritic pain. Their role is to alleviate pain, to improve mobility and posture and to make patient’s lives more comfortable.

I have 30 years experience in treating and managing lower back pain. Specifically my own! Prolapse discs at L4/5 and L5/S1 while taking part in university 1st XV rugby ended my rugby playing, but started my life with chronic pain.
