I am a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Transactional Analyst. I run a private practice in Knaresborough, near Harrogate, North Yorkshire, providing counselling and psychotherapy for individuals, couples and groups.

Mental health problems affect about 1 in 10 children and young people. They include depression, anxiety and conduct disorder, and are often a direct response to what is happening in their lives. Alarmingly, however, 70% of children and young people who experience a mental health problem have not had appropriate interventions at a sufficiently early age.

I am a highly experienced CBT practitioner. I have been in practice for 15 years and for the past 10 years have been Accredited by the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies. I have recently been Re-Accredited until August 2018. The Accreditation means that I have Clinical Supervision from an Accredited Supervisor and undertake regular training in order to keep my knowledge and skills up to date.
