We understand how much you love your pets and are dedicated to looking after their health and care. We provide a friendly and caring service ensuring your pets receive the best healthcare possible at all times, at every precious stage of their lives. We also provide farm animal and equine services, to meet every need in our community.

The practice was established in1984 by Alison with the help and support of family and friends originally as a mixed practice carrying out farm work as well as horses dogs and cats. Over the years we have become more tailored to meet the needs of small animal and equine veterinary care (medicine and surgery).

Here at Oakhill, we have been looking after animals and pets for over sixty years, in fact there are over 250 years of experience in our current veterinary and nursing team alone. From rabbits to reindeer, dogs to donkeys, cats to cows, our expert friendly team love nothing more than giving the best possible care to our patients. We’re also very nice to humans and pride ourselves on keeping you informed throughout any medical journey your pet might take.

We accept referrals in dermatology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, cardiology and spinal surgery cases. We offer a free orthopaedic radiographic reporting service for advice or interpretation.
